The architect

„The architectural concept of the Šárecký dvůr project was created in our international studio. The unifying idea of the project is the balance between "the old and new", in which the original revived building harmoniously blends with modern interventions. The distinctive contemporary architecture forms the backdrop to the park areas, designed by Šmídová Landscape Architects.

The colourful park areas unify the project, help to achieve a balance between historic and modern elements and connect the area to the nearby Džbán reservoir. The technology, which allows the creation of the project in this historical context, plays an important role in the design of the project.

The interior design was designed by the architectonic studio Chmelař architekti that, thanks to its knowledge of local environment, has achieved the modern design. The project is driven by an effort to understand and restore the history as well as the desire to attribute its own permanent chapter to the architectural history of this great city.“
